Lee Teng-hui Former President died on July 30, 2020. He was the “Father of Democracy in Taiwan”.
And, as of 2020, Taiwan and Japan are the only two true democratic states in East Asia. Lee Teng-huis was the “Guardian of Democracy in East Asia” as well. We still don’t know if Japan can win against China to protect freedom and democracy in East Asia. But thanks to him, Japan has an ally Taiwan and doesn’t have to fight alone against China.
